Studying for an entire semester in another country is another great way to study abroad without interrupting your progression in your program. Opportunities are customized for each student based on where there are in their studies, and where they would fit into a partnering institution.

Cost: Erasmus will cover the flight and travel expenses up to 820 € and living expenses (housing and meals) up to 850 € (students) and 1120 € (staff). See here for details.

5-week Summer Intercultural Communication Global Leadership program in France

Where: Strasbourg, France

When: May 28 to July 1, 2020

Length: 5 weeks

Qualifications: students from any program may apply. Students should have completed at least one year of college-level studies, are currently enrolled at Georgian with a 2.8 GPA or higher.

Highlights: 3 day/2 night excursion to Zurich, Switzerland, Cultural field trips in and around Strasbourg and Germany, Group airport pick-up on arrival day

Cost: $5,790 USD (includes accommodation, breakfasts, class related excursions)

The Malaysian Experience (TheME) is a 3-week immersive Summer program running from June 23 to July 13, 2019, in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. How to apply: applications currently closed. Global Affairs Canada and the Chinese Ministry of Education are offering short-term scholarships to Canadians wishing to study abroad in China. Scholarships are awarded for studies, research, language studies or a combination of studies and language studies at participating Chinese institutions. Visit the website for more information.
