Cassandra in Denmark – Week 1

The first Week

img-2442A little over a week has gone by since I arrived in Denmark, the beginning of my trip started in Copenhagen, I stayed there for four days in a place called Bedwood hostel on the street Nyhavn which is the Main Street for tourist in Copenhagen. The hostel is a beautiful small hostel that allowed me to meet some of the coolest people that had amazing stories from the different countries they have visited. The first person I met was a reporter from Brazil named Ike who travels the world making reports on education in different radios and newspapers, as a part of his travels he was able to go to North Korea for ten days. Then, on the right or the photo is Max a computer engineer that just graduated university and began travelling Northern Europe for his graduation and because of this, I got the chance to explore the city of Copenhagen with them. In Copenhagen,  I started the adventure by starting with a canal tour where I saw many historic buildings and statues in the city of Copenhagen. The highlight of the visit was when I saw the little mermaid, where the Disney story/movie created. Next, a few things I noticed about Copenhagen is how expensive it is. The average meal there was about $25 Canadian for a sandwich or burger. If I decided to stay in Copenhagen again, I would recommend to stay somewhere with a kitchen and cooking your meals it is the best possible and to buy groceries then make your food, it is the best way to save money. Overall, I had a wonderful time in Copenhagen meeting people from all over the world.
